Volleyball Announces 2021 Spring Schedule
BALTIMORE – Coppin State volleyball head coach Tim Walsh released the Eagles' 2021 spring season schedule on Thursday morning, which opens on Saturday, January 30 at George Mason.

Thirteen Athletic Programs; 68 Percent of Athletes Record 3.0 GPA’s During Fall 2020 Semester
BALTIMORE – Thirteen of Coppin State's athletic programs recorded at least a 3.0 team grade-point average in the Fall 2020 semester and 16 student-athletes recorded a 4.0 GPA during the term, it was announced by the Department of Athletics on Thursday afternoon. Overall, nearly 68 percent of Eagles athletes recorded at least a 3.0 grade-point average during the fall semester.

Volleyball’s Miajavon Coleman and Former Eagles Standout Cindy Okpegbue Named to MEAC All-Time Team
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Miajavon Coleman and former Eagles standout Cindy Okpegbue were named to the MEAC Volleyball All-Time Team, presented by The Home Depot, it was announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.  The MEAC is celebrating its 50th Anniversary and will be distributing an All-Time Team for each of its sponsored sports.

Volleyball’s Coleman, Roman Named to Preseason All-MEAC Team; Eagles Picked 2nd in North
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Miajavon Coleman and Ashley Roman were named to the MEAC Volleyball Preseason All-Conference Team, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  The Eagles were also picked to finish second in the Northern Division in a voting of the conference's 11 head coaches and sports information directors.

Volleyball Adds Five Eagles for 2020 Season
BALTIMORE – Coppin State head volleyball coach Tim Walsh announced on Tuesday afternoon the signing of five new players for the upcoming 2020 season.  Among the newcomers are freshman Chudear Tut (Minneapolis, Minn.) as well as Romane Cuadros (Saint-Chamond, France), Kareemah Hopkins (San Diego, Calif.), Kyndall Johnson (Austin, Texas) and Sydney Sheppard (Glen Burnie, Md.).

Coppin Places 52 Student-Athletes on 2020 MEAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team, Presented by GEICO
NORFOLK, Va. – Fifty-two Coppin State University student-athletes were named to the MEAC 2020 Commissioner's All-Academic Team, presented by GEICO, it was announced by the league office on Thursday morning.  The team honors student-athletes, with at least sophomore standing, who have recorded a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

President Burnim’s Statement on CSU Athletics Spring Season
BALTIMORE - As we continue to monitor the details regarding COVID-19, it has become clear that further steps must be taken in order to preserve the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff, to the extent that we are able. To this end, and as of March 13, 2020, all Coppin State University Athletics competition and practices will be suspended for the remainder of the spring seasons. This decision is also in line with a recent decision soon to be announced by the Mideastern Athletic Conference.  The safety of our student-athletes must be prioritized, and it is a necessary decision as we face the harsh reality and threat that the COVID-19 pandemic poses.

BALTIMORE - Coppin State head volleyball coach Tim Walsh was named to the VolleyballMag.com Under 40 Coaching Hotshots, it was released by the magazine on Monday afternoon.  The list recognizes head and assistant coaches from NCAA Division I volleyball, NCAA Division I and II men's volleyball as well as all NCAA beach volleyball programs.
