Eyes On The Prize, Coppin Looks To Keep Season Alive In MEAC Tournament
BALTIMORE, Md. – CSU volleyball will look the capture its first conference title in the 29-year history of the program as it enters the MEAC tournament this weekend. Its first test will be a Quarterfinals bout with the preseason MEAC favorite, Bethune-Cookman Wildcats, with first serve set for 8 p.m. Friday night. Coppin drew the MEAC North's #3 seed while Bethune-Cookman earned the South's #2 seed. The two teams met in Baltimore for a crossover clash in mid-October, with the Wildcats coming away with a 3-0 sweep.

Stennis Earns MEAC Volleyball All-Academic Honors
NORFOLK, Va. – Junior outside hitter Asia Stennis was named to the MEAC Volleyball All-Academic team as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon. To receive this acknowledgement a student-athlete must obtain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and be at the college/university for a full academic year.

Fabulous Freshman! Coleman Wins Rookie Of The Year, Lang Makes All-Rookie Team
BALTIMORE, Md. – Coppin State outside hitter Miajavon Coleman became the first player in school history to win the MEAC Volleyball Rookie of the Year while also being named to the All-MEAC Second Team and All-Rookie Team. Brianna Lang also got some well-deserved recognition of her own, joining Coleman on the MEAC All-Rookie Team. The two stud freshmen are the first pair of teammates to earn All-MEAC honors since Cindy Okpegbue and Chelsee Sauni both made the All-MEAC First Team in 2015.

Eagles Flying High Into MEAC Tournament With Win Over Hornets
Dover, Del. – Coppin State volleyball clinched the #3 seed in next weekend's MEAC Tournament with a win over the Delaware State Hornets on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles came into the match in play for the #3 and #4 seed, but a UMES victory over Morgan State earlier in the day coupled with CSU's win over Delaware State catapulted the Eagles into the third spot. Coppin was projected to finish fourth in the MEAC North before the season began. Tim Walsh's club exceeded preseason expectations and saw its win total triple from 4 to 12 in 2018.

Eagles Stun Hawks in MEAC Battle of the Birds, 3-2
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Coppin stole a huge MEAC North showdown from Maryland Eastern Shore, capping off the victory with a dance-off against the UMES cheerleaders. CSU rose to above .500 in the conference and go into the regular season finale, winners of its past three contests.

Volleyball Wraps Up Regular Season At Delaware State And UMES
BALTIMORE, Md. – Coppin State will continue its end of the year road trip when it travels to Dover, Delaware and Princess Anne, Maryland this weekend. The Eagles have already secured a spot in the MEAC Tournament two weekends from now, and will look to improve upon its current seeding of #4 in the North Division.
