Coppin Places 52 Student-Athletes on 2020 MEAC Commissioner’s All-Academic Team, Presented by GEICO
NORFOLK, Va. – Fifty-two Coppin State University student-athletes were named to the MEAC 2020 Commissioner's All-Academic Team, presented by GEICO, it was announced by the league office on Thursday morning.  The team honors student-athletes, with at least sophomore standing, who have recorded a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

Women’s Track & Field Adds Saidai Stuteley for 2020-21 Season
BALTIMORE – Coppin State head track & field coach Carl Hicks announced that Saidai Stuteley (Severn, Md. / Glen Burnie HS) has signed a National Letter of Intent to run for the Eagles starting in the 2020-21 season.  Another recruit with family ties to Coppin, Stuteley is the second member of the Eagles' recruiting class as she joins Serena Harrison.

President Burnim’s Statement on CSU Athletics Spring Season
BALTIMORE - As we continue to monitor the details regarding COVID-19, it has become clear that further steps must be taken in order to preserve the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff, to the extent that we are able. To this end, and as of March 13, 2020, all Coppin State University Athletics competition and practices will be suspended for the remainder of the spring seasons. This decision is also in line with a recent decision soon to be announced by the Mideastern Athletic Conference.  The safety of our student-athletes must be prioritized, and it is a necessary decision as we face the harsh reality and threat that the COVID-19 pandemic poses.

Coppin State Athletics Announces Hall of Fame Class of 2020
BALTIMORE – Coppin State University proudly released today the four individuals and one team who will comprise the CSU Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2020.  Brian Pisani (baseball), Doug Robertson (women's basketball head coach), Stephen Stewart (men's basketball), Rashida Suber (women's basketball) and the 1975-76 men's basketball team will make up the 2020 Class.

Tatiana Ogundeko Breaks 19-Minute Mark to Finish 6th at MEAC Cross Country Championships
SMYRNA, Del. – Coppin State's Tatiana Ogundeko finished sixth overall in a personal record 18:59.19 at the MEAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon at the Delaware State Outreach & Research Center.  As a team, the Eagles finished seventh of ten schools, beating out North Carolina Central, Delaware State and South Carolina State.

Tatiana Ogundeko Victorious Once Again at DSU Alumni XC Invite
SMYRNA, Del. – Tatiana Ogundeko won the DSU Alumni XC Invite in a time of 19:18.2 on Friday afternoon at the Delaware State Outreach & Research Center.  It was the second meet this season that Ogundeko has took the individual crown, both coming on the DSU course.

Tatiana Ogundeko Takes Silver, Sets New PR at Eastern Shore XC Invite
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Coppin State's Tatiana Ogundeko finished second overall in a personal-record 19:09 at the Eastern Shore XC Invite on Saturday morning.  Complete results were not made available until Sunday morning.

NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Tatiana Ogundeko has been named the MEAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.  This is the first weekly honor that Ogundeko has ever received from the MEAC.
