Salley Notches Double-Double as Women’s Hoops Falls at Howard
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Jalynda Salley notched a double-double with a season-high 13 points and 14 rebounds but Coppin State's women's basketball team battled foul trouble throughout in a 60-51 loss at Howard on Sunday afternoon at Burr Gymnasium.  The Eagles now stand at 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the MEAC while the Bison move to 7-2 on the year and 3-1 in league play.

Women’s Basketball Goes Cold in Second Half in Loss at Howard
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Aliyah Lawson scored a game-high 16 points and Alexandria Hamilton matched a career-high with 13 points, but the Coppin State women's basketball team went cold in the second half and fell at Howard, 60-52, on Saturday afternoon at Burr Gymnasium.  The Eagles now stand at 1-4 overall and 1-2 in the MEAC while Howard moves to 6-2 on the year with a 2-1 mark in league play.

Thirteen Athletic Programs; 68 Percent of Athletes Record 3.0 GPA’s During Fall 2020 Semester
BALTIMORE – Thirteen of Coppin State's athletic programs recorded at least a 3.0 team grade-point average in the Fall 2020 semester and 16 student-athletes recorded a 4.0 GPA during the term, it was announced by the Department of Athletics on Thursday afternoon. Overall, nearly 68 percent of Eagles athletes recorded at least a 3.0 grade-point average during the fall semester.

Delaware State Pulls Away From Women’s Hoops in Fourth Quarter
BALTIMORE – Aliyah Lawson scored 12 points and Hope Evans scored a season-high ten points but the Coppin State women's basketball team fell to MEAC rival Delaware State, 60-45, on Tuesday night at PEC Arena.  The Eagles now stand at 1-3 overall with a 1-1 mark in league play while the Hornets move to 2-3 on the year with an identical 1-1 record in conference play.

Aliyah Lawson Named MEAC Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Aliyah Lawson has been named the MEAC Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  This is the first weekly award of Lawson's collegiate career.

Women’s Basketball Earns First Victory of Season with Comeback Win Over Delaware State
BALTIMORE – Aliyah Lawson led all players with 18 points and Abby Weiss added a career-high ten points off the bench to help Coppin State women's basketball to a come-from-behind, 56-54 MEAC victory over Delaware State on Monday night at PEC Arena.  The victory was the Eagles first of the season and the first for first-year head coach Laura Harper.

Home Basketball Doubleheader Against Delaware State Moved to January 4-5
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's home basketball doubleheader versus Delaware State, which had been scheduled for January 2-3, has been moved to January 4-5.  The women's team will tipoff both dates at 5:30 pm with the men's game to follow at 8:00 pm.

NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Rebecca Wilson has been named the MEAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  This is the first weekly honor of Wilson's collegiate career.

Women’s Hoops Falls to La Salle in First Game Back from 33 Day Layoff
BALTIMORE – Playing in its first game in just over a month (33 days), the Coppin State women's basketball team dropped its home opener to La Salle, 75-49 on Monday afternoon at PEC Arena.  The Eagles fall to 0-2 on the season while the Explorers, who also endured a long layoff of 17 days, even their record at 3-3.
