Balanced Attack Helps Women's Hoops Pull Away From N.C. Central
DURHAM, N.C. - Aliyah Lawson scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Coppin State women's basketball team to a 66-43 victory over North Carolina Central on Wednesday night in the McDougald-McLendon Arena.  With the victory, Coppin is now 2-0 in conference play for the first time since the 2016-17 season and its 8-7 mark is their best start since the 2006-07 campaign.

Kimani Alphonse Named MEAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Kimani Alphonse was named the MEAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.  This is the first weekly honor of Alphonse's collegiate career.

Women’s Hoops Battles N.C. Central in Durham on Wednesday Night
DURHAM, N.C. – Coppin State's women's basketball team is back in action tonight as it travels to take on MEAC rival North Carolina Central at 5:30 pm.  The game was originally scheduled for January 10, 2022 but was postponed due to COVID protocols.

Nendah Tarke Named MEAC Men’s Basketball Co-Defensive Player of the Week
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Nendah Tarke has been named the MEAC Men's Basketball Co-Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.   This is the first weekly honor that Tarke has earned this season after being named the MEAC Rookie of the Year and a 3rd Team All-Conference selection last year.

Mossi Staples Named MEAC Women’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Mossi Staples has been named the MEAC Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  This is the second time this season that Staples has received the honor, winning the award on November 30.

Tarke’s Buzzer-Beater Lifts Men’s Hoops Over Morgan State
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's Nendah Tarke hit a buzzer-beater from a few feet behind halfcourt to give the Eagles a 79-76 victory over archrival Morgan State on Saturday evening at the Bears' Hill Field House.  The Eagles improve to 2-0 in MEAC play while the Bears' conference record evens up at 1-1.

Women’s Hoops Wins Battle of Baltimore at Morgan State in MEAC Opener
BALTIMORE – A layup by Colleen Bucknor with 40 seconds left put Coppin State's women's basketball team up for good in a 67-65 victory over archrival Morgan State on Saturday afternoon at the Bears' Hill Field House. The Eagles even their record at 7-7 overall with a win in their MEAC opener while MSU falls to 6-5.
