Brissa Alvarado Leads Trio of Softball Players Earning All-MEAC Honors
NORFOLK, Va. – A trio of Coppin State softball players earned All-MEAC honors as Brissa Alvarado received first team accolades while both Ashley Weimann and Vanessa Carrizosa earned second team honors.  All three players are receiving All-Conference honors for the first time in their careers.

Amoah, Gonzalez Receive President’s Eagle Awards as Athletics Holds Annual Awards Ceremony
BALTIMORE – The Coppin State University Department of Athletics held its annual Eagle Awards virtually on Monday afternoon, and Joseph Amoah of the track & field team and volleyball's Salma Gonzalez earned the Department's Presidential Eagle Awards.  Additionally, Anthony Tarke of the men's basketball team and Ashley Roman of the volleyball team received the University's Athletes of the Year awards.

Softball Drops Pair to Morgan State in Season Finale
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's softball team dropped a pair of games to Morgan State in its season finale on Sunday afternoon at CSU Softball Field.  The Bears won game one, 11-2, and the nightcap, 5-2.

Softball Splits Doubleheader with Morgan State; Blanks Bears, 1-0 in Nightcap
BALTIMORE – Kayleigh Reome tossed a four-hit shutout and Isabella Zalba delivered with a walk-off single to give the Coppin State softball team a 1-0 victory in game two of a doubleheader against Morgan State on Saturday afternoon at CSU Softball Field.  The opener was also a pitcher's duel, but the Bears got the better hand in a 2-1 win.

Softball Swept by MEAC Rival Howard on Wednesday Afternoon
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's softball team lost a pair of games to Howard University on Wednesday afternoon at CSU Softball Field to fall to 5-10 in MEAC play.  The Bison won the opener, 14-0, before taking the nightcap, 11-1.

Softball Run-Rules Howard in Game Two of Doubleheader
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's softball team split a MEAC doubleheader with Howard University on Monday afternoon, taking the nightcap, 10-2 in five innings at CSU Softball Field.  The Eagles dropped game one, 7-0.

Ashley Weimann, Vanessa Carrizosa Sweep MEAC Softball Weekly Awards
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's softball team swept the MEAC weekly awards as Ashley Weimann has been named Player of the Week while Vanessa Carrizosa received both Rookie of the Week and Co-Pitcher of the Week honors, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Carrizosa Throws No-Hitter as Softball Blanks South Carolina State
ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Vanessa Carrizosa tossed a no-hitter while Ashley Weimann and Haley Bravo drove in three runs apiece as the Coppin State softball team blanked South Carolina State, 8-0 on Sunday afternoon at Orangeburg Recreation Park.  The Eagles swept all three of their Southern Division rivals to improve to 4-7 in MEAC play and keeping their Tournament hopes alive.

Softball Sweeps Tar Heel State Rivals North Carolina A&T, NC Central
ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Coppin State's softball team overcame a pair of five-run deficits to defeat North Carolina A&T and N.C. Central on Saturday afternoon at the MEAC Roundup held at Orangeburg Recreational Park.  The Eagles defeated the Aggies, 9-8, in their opener before defeating NCCU, 10-6.

Softball Moves Home Dates Against Howard University
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's softball doubleheaders against Howard University, originally scheduled for April 24-25 at CSU Softball Field, have been moved to Monday, April 26 and Wednesday, April 28.  Both doubleheaders will start at 1 pm.
