Softball’s Nia Bowe Named First Team Preseason All-MEAC; Eagles Picked Ninth in Poll
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Nia Bowe has been named a First Team Preseason All-MEAC Softball Team selection and the Eagles have been picked to finish ninth in the conference as the MEAC Softball Preseason Poll was released on Thursday afternoon.  The poll was voted on by the league's 11 head coaches and sports information directors.

Softball Announces 2020 Schedule Featuring 17 Home Games
BALTIMORE – New Coppin State head softball coach Ashley Cook announced the release of the Eagles' 2020 schedule on Wednesday afternoon.  The 45-game docket includes 17 games to be played at home, with Saint Peter's, Colgate, North Dakota and Mount St. Mary's making non-conference trips to the West Baltimore campus.

Coppin State Athletics Announces Hall of Fame Class of 2020
BALTIMORE – Coppin State University proudly released today the four individuals and one team who will comprise the CSU Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2020.  Brian Pisani (baseball), Doug Robertson (women's basketball head coach), Stephen Stewart (men's basketball), Rashida Suber (women's basketball) and the 1975-76 men's basketball team will make up the 2020 Class.

Softball Falls to Top-Seeded Bethune Cookman in Opening Game of MEAC Tournament
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Coppin State's softball team fell to top-seeded Bethune-Cookman, 8-0, in the opening game of the MEAC Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at Ormond Beach Sports Complex.  The Eagles will face North Carolina Central in an elimination game on Thursday, May 9 at 12 pm.

BALTIMORE – The Coppin State University Athletic Department held its annual Eagles ESPY Awards on Monday night and Joseph Amoah of the track & field team and women's basketball's Brooke Fields were named the Department's Male and Female Athletes of the Year.

Softball’s Cayla Brown Named First Team All-MEAC
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Cayla Brown has been named a First Team All-MEAC Softball selection, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  This is the third-straight year that Brown has earned All-MEAC honors having earned Second Team accolades after the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
