Softball Bolsters 2019 Recruiting Class with Addition of Ferris’ Jaylene Sierra
BALTIMORE, Md. – Coppin State head softball coach Gino Olivieri has announced that Jaylene Sierra of Jersey City, N.J., has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Eagles in the 2019 season.  Adding to an already large recruiting class, Sierra is the 11th incoming freshman to commit to CSU for next season.

Softball Falls in 13-Inning Marathon to Hampton, 4-3, in MEAC Tournament
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Coppin State's softball season came to a heartbreaking end as the Eagles fell to Hampton, 4-3, in a 13-inning affair in the MEAC Tournament on Thursday afternoon at Ormond Beach Sports Complex.  The Eagles end the year with a 14-26 record which is their most wins since 2013.

Bowe Sets Single-Season Home Run Record in Softball’s MEAC Tournament Loss at Bethune Cookman
ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Coppin State's softball team dropped its opening game of the MEAC Tournament, 4-1, at South Division Champion Bethune Cookman on Wednesday afternoon at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex.  The Eagles will take on the loser of the Hampton/Savannah State matchup on Thursday, May 10 at 12 pm in an elimination game.

Softball Puts Four Players on MEAC All-Conference Teams
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's softball team placed four players on MEAC All-Conference Teams, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  Outfielder Nia Bowe, shortstop Patricia Soria and designated player Cayla Brown were named to the Second Team while pitcher Madison Didion received Third Team recognition.  The four players receiving All-Conference recognition is the most in a season in school-history.

Coppin State Names Joseph Amoah and Genesis Lucas Athletes of the Year at 2018 Eagles ESPY Awards
BALTIMORE, Md. – The Coppin State University Athletic Department held its annual Eagles ESPN Awards on Monday night and Joseph Amoah of the track & field team and women's basketball's Genesis Lucas were named the Department's Male and Female Athletes of the Year.
