Track & Field Sending Four Individuals to NCAA East Preliminaries May 24-27
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Coppin State's track & field teams will send four individuals to the NCAA East Preliminaries, held at University of North Florida on May 24-27. Latifa Ali and Kimani Alphonse are set to run in the 400m dash with Jeff Hammond and James Bell competing in the long jump and high jump, respectively.

Men’s Track & Field Takes Sixth at MEAC Outdoor Championships
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's men's track & field team picked up a pair of silver medals as Amadou Ba (800m), James Bell (high jump) and Amiri Goode (decathlon) took second in their events at the MEAC Championships, hosted by Norfolk State at their Dick Price Stadium this week.  The Eagles finished 6th of eight teams with 61 points.

Ba, Coleman Receive President’s Eagle Awards at CSU's Annual ESPY Awards
BALTIMORE – Track & Field's Amadou Ba and volleyball's Miajavon Coleman received the President's Eagle Awards as Coppin State University Athletic Department held its annual Eagles ESPY Awards on Wednesday night at James Weldon Johnson Auditorium.  Sam Sessoms from men's basketball and volleyball's Andrea Tsvetanova received CSU's Male and Female Athlete of the Year Awards, respectively.

Track & Field Battles Wild & Rainy Conditions at Historic Penn Relays
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Coppin State's track & field teams battled wild and rainy conditions at the Penn Relays over the weekend and were led by a third-place finish by the women's 4x200m Relay.

Drakes, Hammond Lead Men’s Track & Field at Morgan State Legacy
BALTIMORE – Carl Drakes won the 200m dash, Solomon Hammond recorded a pair of second-place finishes and the duo led the 4x100m Relay to gold as the Coppin State men's track & field team at the MSU Legacy on Saturday at Hughes Stadium.

James Bell Named MEAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's James Bell has been named the MEAC Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday morning.  This is the first time that Bell has been awarded a weekly honor by the MEAC.
