Track & Field Declared Grand Prize Winner in Silk Team Protein Contest
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's track & field program has been declared as an official Grand Prize Winner in the Silk Team Protein Contest, it was announced by the organization.  The Eagles will receive a $10,000 donation, a live Q&A session with track & field legend Carl Lewis, and a supply of Silk beverages for the upcoming track & field season.

Amoah Anchors Ghana’s 4x100m Relay to National Record, Advances to Friday’s Olympics Final
TOKYO – Behind Coppin State graduate Joseph Amoah's brilliant anchor leg, Ghana's 4x100m Relay set a national record (38.08) and advanced to the final in the event on Wednesday night at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Ghana will compete in the medal round of the event which will air live on Peacock on Friday, August 6 at 9:50 am.

Joseph Amoah Runs Season-Best Time 20.27, Finishes 13th at 2020 Olympic Games in 200m Dash
TOKYO – Representing his native Ghana, Coppin State graduate Joseph Amoah clocked a season-best time of 20.27 in his semifinal heat of the 200m dash at the 2020 Olympic Games.  Despite his impressive time, his mark was fourth in his heat and did not advance him to the finals.

Coppin State Graduate Joseph Amoah Qualifies for 200m Semifinals at Tokyo Olympics
TOKYO – Coppin State  University graduate Joseph Amoah, who is representing his native Ghana, automatically advanced to the semifinals of the 200m dash at the 2020 Olympic Games by placing third in his heat in a time of 20.35.  His mark was the eighth-fastest time among all competitors in the First Round.

Joseph Amoah Qualifies for Friday’s NCAA National Championship in 100m Dash
EUGENE, Ore. – Coppin State's Joseph Amoah clocked a 10.21 in the Semifinals of the 100m dash on Wednesday night to qualify for the NCAA National Championship Round at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.  The finals of the 100m dash will be run on Friday, June 11 at 8:52 pm and be televised live on ESPN2.

Joseph Amoah Named USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region Track Athlete of the Year
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Coppin State's Joseph Amoah has been named the United States Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Mid-Atlantic Region Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, it was announced by the organization on Friday afternoon.  This is the second time that Amoah has received the honor after winning the award in 2019 as well.
