Sergiu Medesan Named to MEAC Men’s Tennis 50th Anniversary All-Time Team
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Sergiu Medesan was named to the MEAC Men's Tennis 50th Anniversary All-Time Team, it was announced by the league office last week.  Over 250 total votes were cast with fans, media representatives, sports information directors and others taking part to compose a team of 50 student-athletes.

Amoah, Gonzalez Receive President’s Eagle Awards as Athletics Holds Annual Awards Ceremony
BALTIMORE – The Coppin State University Department of Athletics held its annual Eagle Awards virtually on Monday afternoon, and Joseph Amoah of the track & field team and volleyball's Salma Gonzalez earned the Department's Presidential Eagle Awards.  Additionally, Anthony Tarke of the men's basketball team and Ashley Roman of the volleyball team received the University's Athletes of the Year awards.

Coppin State Men’s Tennis’ Sergiu Medesan Named First Team All-MEAC
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Sergiu Medsan has been named to the MEAC Men's Tennis First Team, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon. This is the first time that Medesan has earned All-MEAC honors, and he is the second Eagles men's tennis player to earn All-Conference honors under head coach Ebonye Jones.

Medesan, Sada Victorious in Singles Play as Men’s Tennis Falls to Howard in Season Finale
BALTIMORE – Sergiu Medesan and Henrique Sada won their singles matches but the Coppin State men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to MEAC rival Howard on Saturday afternoon at CSU Tennis Courts.  Prior to the match, Sada was honored in ceremony as he was competing in his final match with the Eagles.

Men’s Tennis Earns Doubles Point in Loss to Norfolk State in MEAC Opener
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's men's tennis team earned the doubles point with a pair of victories but fell in its MEAC opener to Norfolk State, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon.  The Eagles are now 1-6 on the season.

Medesan Remains Unbeaten in Singles Play as Men’s Tennis Falls at TCNJ
EWING, N.J. – Coppin State's Sergiu Medesan kept his undefeated singles record alive, but the Eagles fell at The College of New Jersey, 7-2, on Tuesday afternoon at TCNJ Recreation Center.  The Lions remain unbeaten at 2-0 on the season while the Eagles fall to 1-5.

Men’s & Women’s Tennis Sweep MEAC Weekly Honors for Second-Straight Week
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's tennis teams swept all four MEAC weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon as Sergiu Medesan and Afruica Gentle were named as the Men's & Women's Tennis Players of the Week, respectively.  Vansh Kapoor earned Men's Rookie of the Week honors while Gentle also received Rookie of the Week honors on the women's side.
