DeJuan Clayton Named BOXTOROW National Player of the Week
FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. – Coppin State's DeJuan Clayton has been named the BOXTOROW National Player of the Week, it was announced by the organization on Monday morning.  This is the first time that Clayton has received the award which includes all HBCU players from all collegiate levels.

Men’s Hoops Sweeps Weekend Series with Norfolk State; Extends Lead in MEAC North
BALTIMORE – DeJuan Clayton scored a game-high 22 points and Yuat Alok added a career-high 18 points as Coppin State's men's basketball team held off MEAC rival Norfolk State, 81-77, on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles are now 6-9 overall and 5-1 in league play to stand in first place in the Northern Division while the Spartans fall to 8-6 on the year and 3-3 in the MEAC.

Clayton, Men’s Hoops Pull Away from Norfolk State; Eagles Now Alone in First Place in MEAC North
BALTIMORE – DeJuan Clayton led five Coppin State players in double figures with 20 points as the Eagles defeated Norfolk State, 81-71, on Saturday afternoon at PEC Arena.  The victory snapped a 14-game losing streak against the Spartans and Coppin is now alone in first place in the MEAC North with a 4-1 conference record along with a 5-9 overall mark.  Norfolk State falls to 8-5 on the year and 3-2 in league play.

Anthony Tarke Receives MEAC Defensive Player of the Week for 5th Time, Brother, Nendah Earns 3rd Rookie of the Week
NORFOLK, Va. – For the fifth time this season, Coppin State's Anthony Tarke has been named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.  Additionally, Nendah Tarke received the conference's Rookie of the Week award for the third time.

Anthony Tarke, Koby Thomas Lead Well-Balanced Men’s Hoops Past Morgan State
BALTIMORE – Anthony Tarke notched a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds while Koby Thomas added 19 points as Coppin State's men's basketball team got revenge on crosstown rival Morgan State with an 89-79 victory over the Bears on Sunday afternoon at Hill Field House.  The Eagles are now 4-9 overall and lead the MEAC North with a 3-1 clip while the Bears fall to 6-4 on the year and 2-2 in league play.

Coppin State Men’s Hoops Can’t Contain Hot Shooting Morgan State
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's Anthony Tarke stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, 16 rebounds, five assists and two steals but Coppin State's men's basketball team fell at Morgan State, 92-72, on Saturday afternoon at the Bears' Hill Field House.  The Eagles now stand at 3-9 overall and 2-1 in the MEAC while Morgan improves to 6-3 with an identical 2-1 league mark.

Yuat Alok Added to Men’s Basketball Roster
BALTIMORE – Coppin State's men's basketball head coach Juan Dixon has announced that Yuat Alok been added to the active roster.  Alok will be immediately eligible for the Eagles who are set to play at archrival Morgan State on January 16-17.

Anthony Tarke & Kenan Sarvan Once Again Take Home MEAC Weekly Awards
NORFOLK, Va. – Coppin State's Anthony Tarke has been named the MEAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week while Kenan Sarvan received MEAC Rookie of the Week honors, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon. This is the fourth time in seven weeks that Tarke has received the Defensive Player of the Week and the second Rookie of the Week for Sarvan this season.

BALTIMORE – Coppin State's DeJuan Clayton has been named the College Sports Madness MEAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced by the website on Monday morning.  This is not the official MEAC Player of the Week award which is released every Tuesday during the basketball season.

Tarke Takeover! Anthony Tarke Nearly Puts Up Triple-Double in Men’s Hoops Win Over Delaware State
BALTIMORE – Anthony Tarke stuffed the stat-sheet and finished two assists shy of a triple double as the Coppin State men's basketball team held on to defeat MEAC rival Delaware State, 81-77 on Tuesday night at PEC Arena.  The Eagles took both games from the Hornets on back-to-back nights to start conference play.
