Baseball Wins Sixth-Straight NEC Game, Completing Sweep of Norfolk State to Finish the Season
HANOVER, Md. - Coppin State's baseball team closed its season with its sixth-straight Northeast Conference victory, completing a sweep of Norfolk State with a 10-1 win on Saturday afternoon at Joe Cannon Stadium.  The Eagles finish with a 21-31 overall record while tying for sixth place in the NEC with a 14-16 mark in league play.

Baseball Picks Up 20th Win of the Season with Second-Straight Win Over Norfolk State
HANOVER, Md. – For the fourth time in the last five full seasons, Coppin State's baseball team has hit 20 wins after the Eagles defeated Norfolk State, 14-9 on Friday afternoon at Joe Cannon Stadium.  With the victory, Coppin (20-31, 13-16 NEC) stays alive in its bid to clinch a spot in the NEC Tournament with the regular season finale tomorrow afternoon.

Baseball Takes NEC Series Opener from Norfolk State, 5-3
HANOVER, Md. – Brody Black hit a three-run home run and the pitching duo of Marcos Herrand and Rashad Ruff combined to strikeout 17 batters as Coppin State's baseball team defeated Norfolk State, 5-3 in NEC action on Thursday afternoon at Joe Cannon Stadium. With the win, the Eagles improve to 19-31 overall and 12-16 in league play, staying alive in their chase for a NEC Tournament bid.

Jordan Hamberg Named Semifinalist for John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award
LUBBOCK, Texas – Coppin State's Jordan Hamberg has been named one of 12 semifinals for the 2023 John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award, it was announced by the College Baseball Foundation on Wednesday afternoon.  This is the second-straight season that Hamberg has been a semifinalist after being one of five finalists last season.

Baseball Drops Final Road Game of the Season to Mount St. Mary’s
EMMITSBURG, Md. – Brett Curran went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk as Coppin State's baseball team fell at Mount St. Mary's, 13-1 on Tuesday afternoon at E.T. Straw Family Stadium.  The Eagles now stands at 18-31 on the year while the Mountaineers improve to 25-24.

Jordan Hamberg Named John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week
BALTIMORE, MD.- Coppin State's Jordan Hamberg was named the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week announced by College Baseball Hall of Fame this morning. This is the first John Olerud Award that Hamberg has received this season, which marks the fourth time in his career to receive the award.

Baseball Completes Sweep at Delaware State; Takes Both Games of NEC Doubleheader
DOVER, Del. – Coppin State's baseball team picked up a pair of big wins in a doubleheader sweep at Delaware State on Sunday afternoon at Bob Reed Field.  Completing the three-game sweep, the Eagles (18-30, 11-16 NEC) won game one, 12-5, and the nightcap, 16-11.  In the series, Coppin scored 40 runs on 34 hits and it stands two games out of sixth place in the league standings with three games left to play.

Gardner Hits Pair of Home Runs in the Fifth Inning; Baseball Defeats Delaware State, 12-7
DOVER, Del. – Keith Gardner hit a pair of home runs and drove in six runs to lead the Coppin State baseball team to a 12-7 NEC victory at Delaware State on Friday afternoon at Bob Reed Field. The Eagles improved to 16-30 overall and 9-16 in league play.

Keith Gardner Named NEC Baseball Rookie of the Week
BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Coppin State's Keith Gardner was named the Northeast Conference Baseball Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.  This is the first weekly award that Gardner has earned in his career.
