Treyes Named to NCBWA Preseason Stopper of the Year Watch List
GREENVILLE, N.C. – Coppin State's Corey Treyes was one of 75 players to be named to the initial Watch List for the 15th annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I Baseball, the association announced Monday.

Baseball America Tabs Derek Lohr as MEAC Preseason Player of the Year; Predicts Coppin State to Win MEAC Title
DURHAM, N.C. – In its 2019 MEAC Preview, Baseball America has selected Coppin State's Derek Lohr as its Preseason Player of the Year, the publication announced on Friday morning.  Additionally, Baseball America picked the Eagles to win the MEAC Tournament and go on to NCAA Regionals where it will in a field with Vanderbilt, North Carolina State and Oregon.

NORFOLK, Va. – In a vote of the league's nine head coaches and sports information directors, Coppin State's baseball team was picked to repeat as MEAC North Division Champions, it was announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.  Additionally, five Eagles were named to the Preseason Second team.

BALTIMORE – Coppin State head baseball coach Sherman Reed announced Thursday afternoon that Giovanni Canales (Cranston, R.I.), Michael Dorcean (Bellerose, N.Y.) and Toran Smith (Plainfield, N.J.) have signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Eagles beginning in the 2020 season.
