Studies in Black American Literature
3 Undergraduate Credits
Focusing on a particular thematic approach or theoretical methodology, this course explores poetry, fiction, drama and other literary and culturally-significant art forms by African American writes from across historical periods. The course exploes contemporary approaches to literary analysis and will help demonstrate the incorporation of thematic and theoretical analyses into research projects across Humanities disciplines.
Prerequisite: ENGL 101 or 102 and ENGL 102 or 104 and any 200-Level ENGL or WLIT course
