Legal Aspects of Special Education

This course is designed to acquaint educators and other professionals with the provisions of the major Federal and State statutes that affect the special student and parents or surrogates relevant to their educational rights. Also reviewed are significant judicial decisions as well as procedures designed to ensure that the educational rights of the disabled and their families are safeguarded and enforced.
