The Nature of Language and Its Application

An introduction to the study of language, its development, description, and application. Students learn to generate their own language and to understand the creative power of language in selected writings, with emphasis on the application of linguistic theory to the acquisition of language skills. Prerequisite: (ENGL 101 or 103) AND (ENGL 102 or 104) AND ( 1 of WLIT 203, 204, 205, 206)
