Principles of Economics I

This course introduces the basic economic principles and their policy applications. In particular, the course focuses on the basic economic problems such as scarcity, inflation, and unemployment. Other topics covered include: economic methods and institutions, measurement of aggregate economic activity, national income determination, business cycles and economic growth, and elements of aggregate economic policies such as monetary and fiscal policy.
