The course is designed to introduce students to the process of curriculum development in variety of nursing education settings. Students will identify and discuss principles of learning utilized in nursing education. The course will provide an overview of Nursing Trends and issues affecting nursing education. The development of a curricular plan, needs, mission, philosophy, organizing framework, development of objectives, syllabi, and implementation in classroom, didactic, and clinical setting will be explored. Each student will be required to develop a hypothetical curriculum model for nursing education. Students will utilize and evaluate models of distance learning.
