This course of study is designed for students enrolled in diverse fields of study who plan to work with aging adults or who would like to learn about health and aging for personal and/or familial purposes. Students will learn about the aging process and its impact on health as well as intervention approaches that may slow the aging process and lessen relevant adverse health affects. Healthy People 2010 data and recommendations regarding the fast growing older population will be used to discuss health issues and strategies that students may use immediately and/or share with family members and peers. Prerequisite: 1 of HLTH 101, 103, 203.
Enrollment Requirements
Prerequisite: HEED 101, 102, 103, 105, or equivalent HEED 100-level course.
