An examination of the etiology, symptoms, and treatments of personality disorders with emphasis on differentiating maladaptive from deviant behavior. Included are various medical and psychological models and various perspectives including psychodynamic, behaviorist, humanistic, existentialist, Adlerian, Jungian and reality and rational emotive therapies. Emphasis is placed on diagnosing (DSM-IV) and treating a range of existing disorders. Prerequisites: PSYC 201, 306
